Summer has been going by quickly for us between playing festivals and writing our next album. We're very excited about all of the new material so far and can't wait to record later this fall. A new album should be out some time early next year. We'll be hitting the road a bit this fall and will have more details regarding that soon. In the meantime, we're gearing up for an extensive Japanese tour in September (very exciting!). We also just confirmed the 3rd Annual BroFest concert in our hometown for October 3rd. There is a lot of great things on the horizon... we'll see some of you soon! |

May 23, 2008 - 1000th Show this Sunday in Paris! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Last month our band surpassed 8 years of activity, and now this Sunday (in Paris, France) we will be celebrating our 1000th live show. We recently archived all of the shows we have ever played and were able to calculate this monumental event. Time has sure flown by and it doesn't seem like it's been that long, or even that many shows!
Tonight we are in Madrid, Spain for a show, marking the half-way point through our European Tour. We've covered a lot of land so far and will continue to do so as we hit Scandinavia next week and finish off at Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park, plus our first stop ever in Prague. We're seeing a lot of Europe on this tour and are taking the time to do a lot of exploring and photographing.
After this tour we will return home to do some writing for a new album. There will be some summer tour dates announced soon throughout North America too. It looks like it's going to be another really fun summer for us. Peace out, see everyone soon. |
Notes: * Europe Tour wraps up June 8th in Prague, check tour dates for more info
* We are playing a free show in our hometown on June 14th

May 7, 2008 - Europe Tour 2008! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
We are just about ready to leave for our European tour. This time we will be playing in 14 (!) countries, which is the most we have ever conquered at one time. Joining us on a bunch of the headlining club shows will be our good friends, Today Forever (an amazing band from Germany). Aside from those shows we will be appearing at both the Give It Name Festival and Give It Name European dates, plus Groezrock and Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park. Festivals are always a lot of fun to play, especially overseas. We'll see a bunch of you soon! For those back in North America, don't worry - we won't be ignoring you this summer.. More tour dates coming soon, take care. |
Notes: * Tour overseas May 9 to June 8th... everywhere!

April 1, 2008 - CHILLERS Tour Finished! Thank you. |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
We have returned home from our USA headlining tour, Chillers: Bros in the Snow Tour, only to discover there is STILL snow on the ground in the Southern Ontario area! Fortunately, most of the places we visited on tour were not covered in snow and all of the clubs were nice and warm.
This was by far the most successful, and enjoyable tour of our career. I know that is a bold statement to make, but it’s something that each of us can stand behind. Almost all of the shows were sold out which is a huge accomplishment since none of the bands have platinum-selling albums or radio hits to support the tour. Our tour mates, Devil Wears Prada and A Day to Remember were an absolute pleasure to have on tour. They are great bands, and ultimately some of the nicest people we have ever met.
Overall, the tour was extremely smooth except when Protest the Hero dropped off. We love those guys, and wish them the best on all of their upcoming tours. Luckily enough, we were able to fill their shoes with some appearances by our friends, A Static Lullaby, Emarosa, Pierce the Veil – not to mention the special appearance of Set Your Goals and Cancer Bats. These bands are creating some exciting music and we urge you to check them out!
This year has been spent mostly away from home between our tours in Australia, Japan, Canada and the US, so it’s nice to have some time off and relax. We are spending a majority of the next 5 weeks at home, but plan to do a little writing for a new album when we have time. Our next tour begins May 9 in Europe and we will be overseas for about a month.
Finally, we just want to thank all of the fans that supported the recent tour, told their friends about it, drove a long distance, bought a ticket, came to the in-stores, and most importantly, rocked out with us every night. We love playing music and it’s all of you who inspire us to get on stage. Ultimately, it was real music fans supporting the music they love that drove the success of this tour – thank you.

March 13, 2008 - USA Tour far exceeding expectations! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Right now we are about half-way through our headlining tour of the United States and are overwhelmed by the turns out each night. These shows have far exceeded our expectations and we must thank everyone for coming out, having a great time with us and supporting all of the bands. This has been the best tour we have ever done! There are still a few weeks left and tickets are selling fast.
After this tour we will take some much needed time off to refocus, catch up on our lives at home and begin writing some new material. Aside from our shows in Tucson and Hamilton, we will resume tour in Europe throughout May/June. We will be headlining over all of the mainland and appearing at Groezrock, Give it a Name and Rock Am Ring/Im Park. We will announce our final itinerary soon!
Make sure to check out our new messageboard and interact with us. We log on often to answer questions and to hear what our fans are saying. Thanks for the support ... see you at the upcoming shows! |

February 11, 2008 - Thank you Canada - Sold Out Tour! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
There is no better feeling than returning to your home country and playing shows, except touring from coast to coast for sold out crowds. Our first ever Canadian headlining tour sold out every single night, and we must thank everyone who came out to these shows! We could not have done it without the dedicated fans who stood out in the cold weather, supported this tour and made it the best experience for everyone on the tour. It was our pleasure to share the road with some incredible bands (Protest the Hero, ill Scarlett and Devil Wears Prada) who made this tour even more exciting for everyone there. Thanks to all of the fans, the bands, MuchMusic for supporting the tour AND our new video ("Still Dreaming") and Skate4Cancer/Rob for hosting some sweet after-parties/keeping it 'posi' on the road. We love you Canada, and we are proud to be from here. The next few days will allow us to rest back home in Southern Ontario before hitting the road in the USA from Feb 21 - March 30. Take care, eh? Peace! |

January 16, 2007 - Pick Our Setlist / Video Pictures / Thanks Oz! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
We are excited to announce some new technology in the world of touring and performing our songs... You can help us decide what songs we are going to play on our upcoming Canadian and USA tours over at PickRset.com! Often it can be hard to decide what we should play and what people really want to hear, so this time we are looking for some advice from our fans. The more people that vote, the better so encourage your friends to get on there as well.
As mentioned before, we recently filmed a video for our song "Still Dreaming". It should be up in a few weeks but for now you can check out pictures from the video shoot here: [Stills from video]
We landed in Nagoya, Japan last night, waiting to start our Japanese tour. It was sad to leave Australia because we had so much fun down there. All of the shows were incredible, and we had a blast with our new friends, Set Your Goals. We love those dudes so much that we have added them to our headlining show in Tokyo! Big thanks to Destroy All Lines & Crew for hooking up our Australian tour. |

December 22, 2007 - "Still Dreaming" Music Video |

We will be releasing the video by the end of January. For now, we are at home enjoying the Holidays, and preparing for our trip over to Australia and Japan. December 1, 2007 - Message from Overseas. Sympathy for our friends. |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
We haven't able to update much since we have been overseas, but tour has been great and keeping us very busy. This has been our most successful tour overseas so far and we must thank everyone for supporting us far away from our home. However, the other night we walked off stage and were hit with the tragic news regarding the loss of Casey Calvert. The news came as a complete shock and we were in utter disbelief. Being on the other side of the world can feel like you are trapped inside a bubble where nothing seems real. This is how we felt, and didn't know how to deal with the news. We have spent a lot of time on the road with Hawthorne Heights, a lot more than most bands. Casey was an eccentric and vibrant individual who was an absolute genuine pleasure to be around. Our love goes out to the family of Casey and the rest of our friends in Hawthorne Heights. All of you are in our thoughts. |
Notes: * Thank you for supporting us overseas. Tour is half over, but there are plenty of shows remaining. Hope to see you soon.

September 14, 2006 - Silverstein Announces "Nicholas Hurlbut Memorial Fund" (BroFest 2007) |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Brofest originated in Fall 2006 to honour Nicholas Hurlbut, a beloved friend and member of Burlington's thriving music community, who lost his battle with cancer on August 21, 2006. The first Brofest concert (affectionally dubbed "Brofest '85") was an opportunity for Nick's friends to turn their grief into something positive, meaningful, and productive. In cooperation with the Burlington YMCA, Brofest brought together a menagerie of local bands to raise funds and cancer awareness, as well as provide an opportunity for friends and family to connect in celebration of Nicholas's life. Bands generously donated not only their time and talent, but all proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise. Ultimately, Brofest raised over $10,000 for various cancer related organizations.
Now a year later, with the support of the Burlington Community Foundation, Brofest will build upon the energy and principles of the original event, while implementing a more sophisticated and extensive fundraising programme. We are pleased to announce that all proceeds from this year's event will be directly donated to the newly established Nicholas Hurlbut Memorial Fund. The 2007 Brofest promises to be even more electrifying and explosive than the first, with more music, more limited edition merchandise, and more opportunities to get informed and involved in the fight against cancer.

March 3, 2007 - Silverstein Studio Update! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hello everyone! We've been living in L.A. for almost a week now and today we completed pre-production for the new album. Our producer, Mark Trombino, has been helping us to make all of the songs the best that they can be. We have written a total of 15 songs for the new album but are unsure how many will make the final album. Regardless, we're really excited about all of the new material and are confident that all of our fans will be too. Next to us in the rehearsal studio all week was Dio and Black Sabbath rehearsing which gave us a bit of extra encouragement and inspiration! Our sessions have been fueled by a lot of smoothies and great vegan cuisine since California has the best food. All around we’ve been having a fun time out here and are looking forward to begin tracking next week. We’ll be living out here for almost 2 months so some of you may see us poking our heads around some shows and hanging out. It feels good to be in some warm weather and working on a new album finally. Many more updates to come! |

|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Today we fly to sunny Los Angeles to abadon the wintery mess of Canada and dedicate ourselves to recording our new album! All of the new songs sound great and we're really excited about how everything has turned out in the writing process. We begin pre-production for the album on Monday and will be working on the album until the end of April. We are very excited to share these new songs with all of you! It feels weird having not toured in so long, but we promise that we'll be touring all over the world as soon as this album is finished. Hang tight and you will have new music from us by the summer. Take care! |

January 30, 2007 - NEW ALBUM THIS SUMMER! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hello everyone, we apologize for keeping quiet all of this time but we have been hard at work! Since completing our headlining tour last December, we have been locked up in the cold Canadian winter writing songs for our new full-length album. It's been such a great experience and we're really happy with the songs so far. We are going to be entering the studio in March to record with producer Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, The Living End, etc.). You can expect to see the album in-stores this summer!
In the meantime we have booked a few shows around our busy schedule. On February 16th we will be playing a very special show in Toronto @ El Mocambo for Skate4Cancer as they are launching their new "Cure is Knowledge" campaign. We support everything they are doing and were eager to be a part of such a great cause. The show is free but only with purchase of a Skate4Cancer T-shirt from their online store. We will also be appearing at the Bamboozle Festival again this year in New Jersey this May. Shortly after, we will be touring Mexico for the first time! You can expect to see us on tour all summer long and all of that information will be announced soon.
Until then, check back often for more updates as we'll be documenting our progress on the new album. If you get the chance, add us to Buzznet - we will be uploading pictures and video from the studio to our page over there too. 2007 is going to be a great year. |

December 5, 2006 - Tour is over, Time to rest.. and make a new album! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hey everyone, a final big thanks to all of the bands that shared the road with us this fall, all of the kids that came out to these shows, and to everyone that made our first major headlining tour a huge success! Our 2 months of touring has come to an end and we are now safely back home.
It's time for us to hibernate away through the cold Canadian winter and write our new album. We plan to record in the spring and have it released sometime next summer. Unfortunately we won't be playing any shows during this time but don't worry because we are already planning our return for next year!
THANK YOU, we'll see you in '07.. peace! |

Posted by Paul Koehler |
Tomorrow is our last show in the states on the Never Shave Again tour. It's been an amazing tour for us and we've really enjoyed headlining for a change. We really appreciate all of the kids that bought tickets for the shows, stood in line, sang along, and supported us through everything. A big thanks to all of the bands that joined us on the road: Aiden & It Dies Today (for doing the whole tour with us) and to all of the other bands that were on different parts - He Is Legend, I Killed The Prom Queen, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Kill Hannah, The Stickup and Devil Wears Prada. We love all of you and it was a pleasure to be able to watch you play.
Our tour will bring us to Canada this Sunday for 7 shows and eventually wrapping up on December 3rd in Sarnia. Once we get home we will begin working on our new album which will be recorded next year. It's going to be great to have some time off and focus on new music. We will resume touring once we've put all of that together for you, but it will take some time. Check out the upcoming shows if you live in the area, and otherwise we'll see you again next year! |

October 5, 2006 - Cancer Benefit Tomorrow in Burlington |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hey everyone we are back from tour and are getting ready for our hometown show tomorrow at the YMCA in Burlington. Tickets are going very fast, but you can still pick up some at Looney Tunes (Burlington), Dr. Disc (Hamilton) or right from the front desk at the YMCA. If a location is sold out it doesn't mean that all of them are gone, so I would suggest calling around. As of tomorrow at noon, all remaining tickets will be placed at the YMCA where you can purchase them all day before the doors open - 6pm. Any remaining tickets will be opened up at the door as first come first served (we are selling a total of 1000 tickets). We are really excited about this show, a big thank you to everyone involved and those who have helped us organize it. Also a reminder, we hit the road next Friday for our headlining tour - The Never Shave Again Tour - tickets on sale everywhere for that too. |

August 25, 2006 - You will never be forgotten. |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Since our band has been together we have lost many friends and family to the horrible disease known as cancer. As individuals, we have grown closer through the losses and have always remembered those who were overcome. No one could really imagine what a battle it is and that is why it's important that we continue to search for a cure.
On August 21st we lost a close friend by the name of Nicholas Hurlbut. He was a friend of everyone in the band, a great individual and a huge supporter of our music. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all of our friends.
In honor of Nick and his love for music, we will be performing alongside many great friends on October 6th in our hometown, Burlington, Ontario @ the YMCA Gymnasium. Both Bury Her Breathing and The Turn It Ups will be reuniting for performances in addition to The Stick Up, Skabal, Japaned, & Cain and Abel.
We will be donating 100% of the proceeds from all merchandise and ticket sales, so please support. Tickets will be going on sale soon, more information to come.
Thanks everyone, see you out there. |

|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
SILVERSTEIN HIT THE US THIS FALL WITH
AIDEN, IT DIES TODAY, AND HE IS LEGEND FOR
THE SILVERSTEIN FALL HEADLINING TOUR 2006
There is no question that Silverstein take their lives as musicians
seriously. So far in 2006, Silverstein has been all over the world and on
three critically acclaimed tours and still they work harder. After
supporting Simple Plan in Europe, Silverstein came back to the United States
and Canada to complete their duties on the Take Action! Tour, Taste of Chaos
and Warped Tours (the only band this year to have played all three tours)
all before Summer has a chance to wind down. In between those tours, the
band made another trip to Europe while also touching down in both Japan and
Australia for sold-out, headlining stints in those countries. Their energy
is unfailing and their drive to perform and satisfy is unending.
The band is touring in support of not only their recent release, 18 Candles:
The Early Years, but a special edition of the hit album Discovering The
Waterfront releasing to fans everywhere on September 19. In addition to new
artwork and bonus track, the package comes with a DVD featuring a
complete live performance taken from the 'Never Sleep Again Tour' in
Chicago, IL, footage from their hometown show in Burlington, ON, music
videos and more!
As their first, full US headlining tour in over 2 years, Silverstein will be
heading out this fall with Aiden (Victory Records), It Dies Today (Trustkill
Records), and He is Legend (Solid State Records). Trading off opening
duties will be Man Alive (October 13-30), The Blackout Pact (November 1-16),
and I Killed the Prom Queen (November 17-December 1). With help from Pure
Volume, Peta2, Gibson, Heartcore, and Hot Topic, this tour is sure to be the
talk of the Fall.

July 19, 2006 - Canadian Tour w/ Underoath + USA Headlining Tour |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hello everyone! The summer is quickly going by and we've already finished over half of this year's Warped Tour. We've been having so much and must thank all of the fans that have gone out of their way to see our set each day. It's been overwhelming to see how much we've all grown since the last summer. Our confidence has increased and we are ready to return to all of these places this fall and rock out even harder.
The first portion of our fall plans was revealed today. We will be supporting our great friends, Underoath all across Canada throughout September. En route to the first date we will be playing a few US shows with Canadian pals Moneen, who will also be on the tour along with He Is Legend. Part of these dates have already been released (with a few more coming soon), but you can already order your tickets online!
Following our Canadian run, we will be heading back to the US for our first major headlining tour cross-country! Supporting us will be friends, Aiden, It Dies Today and He Is Legend. There will also be 3 rotating openers over the course of the tour which include Man Alive, The Blackout Pact and I Killed The Prom Queen. We will be hitting every major market, so check back often for tour dates as we release them. This will be an exciting tour for us since we'll be able to play a much longer set than usual, and will be carrying some bigger production with us.
Finally, we are pleased to annouce that our latest full-length, Discovering The Waterfront will be re-issued on September 19th complete with some completely new artwork, expanded liner notes, bonus track and a live DVD + more! It's going to be a busy fall and we can't wait. See everyone soon...Peace! |

June 18, 2006 - On Warped Tour Right Now! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hey everyone, we're in Minneapolis today on the 4th day of Warped Tour. This is our 3rd year on the tour, and we're honored to be sharing the bill with so many friends of ours. We've been having a blast out here, even though it's been extremely hot & sweaty outside! Check out our tours page for all dates that we'll be on. We have been rotating between the Hurley and the Main Stages, so check the schedule carefully when you get to these shows.
We must thank everyone who attended our hometown show on June 10th. We played our longest set to date, trying out to some new things and bringing back some rare songs. We'll be doing a whole bunch of Canadian touring througout September so stay tuned for that.
In the meantime, check out our 18 Candles release if you haven't already. There will be a bunch of big news throughout the summer, but for now we're just rockin' on the Warped Tour. Take care! |

June 9, 2006 - Back Home, Big Show Tomorrow, WARPED TOUR! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
Hey everyone, we're back home now, fresh off a tour in Australia and Japan. This trip was the most amazing experience of our lives and we must thank everyone involved that made it happen. Both countries are absolutely beautiful, everyone was so welcoming and showed us a really great time. This was our 2nd time in Australia and it was such an overwhelming feeling to see twice the amount of kids at almost every show as last time! Big thanks to I Killed The Prom Queen and The Getaway Plan for coming along on tour. We hope to revisit both places on the new year for sure.
We'll be playing our big return / CD release show tomorrow night in Hamilton. PLEASE NOTE - Tickets ARE available at the door and this show will not sellout. You may want to pick up your ticket in advance to avoid lines, but otherwise, you can purchase your ticket right at the venue. Come hang out, celebrate this release with us and have a good time. It's going to be so much fun to play back around home again.

May 15, 2006 - 18 Candles, Japan/Australia, SIRS, more! |
|
Posted by Paul Koehler |
For those of you lucky enough to have FUSE (unlike us Canadians), we will be on Steven's Untitled Rock Show tonight. For everyone else in the world, please keep requesting our latest video on your local channel.
Right now we're getting ready to leave for Japan. This is our first time in Japan and we're all beyond excited. It is dream come true to be able to travel so far and play music. If you live in the area check our tour dates for show info. RIght after we'll be heading south for a run of dates in Australia. This will be our second time down under and we look forward to revisting a lot of our favorite places.
In just over 2 weeks we'll be releasing our b-sides collecton, entitled 18 Candles: The Early Years. We are excited to be releasing some of our older material, accompanied with extensive liner notes written by each member in the band. There are also some old photos that are pretty funny to us. Some of you may have noticed the promo photo on the cover, that was taken about 4 years ago.
That's it for now, off to pack my suitcase! |

April 29, 2006 - HOMETOWN SHOW ANNOUNCED - JUNE 10th! |

We are pleased to announce a headlining show in Hamilton, ON on June 10th. This will be our only local appearance until at least the fall, so we're excited to be playing so close to home. This time we have put tickets for sale on Ticketmaster.ca so people from all over can buy them | |
