    The Fall Season
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hello there! It's been a crazy year for Silverstein - traveling to all corners of the globe for some incredible tours. We kicked off the year with a trip that hit South America, Hawaii and Australia, followed by our extensive USA headlining tour. Our new album, Shipwreck, hit stores, and we rolled into busy summer kicking off in UK/Europe and finishing with a run on Warped Tour.

We're currently at home, fresh off our extensive cross-Canadian tour which hit just about everywhere except for B.C. (we'll catch you next time, promise!). A big thanks to the amazing bands who shared the road with us, and an even bigger thanks to all our Canadian fans! This year has been filled with a lot of firsts too - playing in both Alaska and Newfoundland for the very first time. We're all about venturing to new places to play.

Right now we're gearing up for a big tour which kicks off with some headlining dates in America (Oct 28 to Nov 14) with Madina Lake, I See Stars, Closure in Moscow, The Word Alive. After that we fly directly to Europe for an unbelievable tour with fellow Canadians: Billy Talent and Cancer Bats (Nov 16 to Dec 4). It's going to be a busy fall, but we're so excited about all that's going on.

That's about it for now, but we'll keep you posted on 2010 soon!

    A Shipwreck in the Sand
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Our new album, A Shipwreck in the Sand, hit stores in just over a month (March 31st to be exact). We're very excited for all of you to hear what we've created. It was a long, intense process making this record, but we couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. There will be an album pre-order available soon including some different formats for you to choose.

To celebrate the release, we'll be headlining across America from March until May and stopping at both Bamboozle Festivals. Joining us will be Norma Jean, Blessthefall, and Before Their Eyes. We're excited to share the road with these bands for this very special tour. In the meantime, we just announced a few warm-up Canadian shows in March so check those out.

Thanks to everyone who attended the shows in South America. We enjoyed touring there more than we ever imagined and were really overwhelmed by your response. Hopefully we can return soon and play even more places down there!

    Album Nearing Completion
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Today we are entering our final week in the recording studio. Our new album is almost complete and we couldn't be any happier with everything we've done so far. Immediately once we finish it, we will begin gearing up for our tour next month. Our first dates back will be abroad in South America / Hawaii / Australia. It's our most exotic tour to date and we're looking forward to it. There will be a North American tour announcement soon, so don't worry, we haven't forgot about you.

We have posted a video update from the studio on the AlternativePress website, be sure to check that out to for a glimpse of the recording process! We can't wait to share the finished product with all of you. The new album will hit stores everywhere on March 31st.

Finally - you should probably go check out this site: www.ashipwreckinthesand.com and add us on Twitter (silverstein). More updates, treats and announcements on the way.

    Back in the Recording Studio!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We have returned home from tour and are already locked away in the studio to prepare and record our 4th full length album. We are really excited to be working with producer, Cameron Webb (Discovering the Waterfront) again - but this time we'll be working out of the Toronto-area. Most of our summer was spent writing new songs, and now we finally get to record them. However, it was great to take a break from writing to revisit some of our favorite places and reconnect with our fans before making the album.

The next few months are going to be dedicated to the album and touring will resume in February. We will be keeping our fans updated throughout the recording process on all of our sites. You should expect the new album in stores through Victory Records around Spring 2009. There is no title or confirmed track listing, but we'll post that as soon as we decide. In the meantime, get stoked .. because we are!

    Notes:
    * Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket on our fall tour! We had an absolute blast and appreciate you hanging out.

We're in Omaha, Nebraska for the first day off on our tour with Chiodos. Today happens to be Canadian Thanksgiving so we're going out for a big dinner to celebrate. So far we've played 3 shows and they have all been amazing. It's nice to be playing shows again on our home continent. We're excited to revisit some of our favorite places again before we lock ourselves up in the studio. There are still a lot of shows left, so check the tour listings for more information.

BroFest Cancelled / New Track posted below
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Message regarding the cancellation of last night's hometown event:

"We apologize on behalf of all of the bands and everyone involved with BroFest for the event being cancelled. The venue was been deemed unsafe by fire and safety laws so we could not risk opening the doors. All of the factors involved were out of our control and there was nothing we could do to allow the event to take place. We believe in a strong, safe community that supports our great local music scene, and that is why we will be working hard to plan a make-up event soon. All tickets are refundable at point of purchase. Thank you for your understanding. (Stay tuned to www.brofest.org for any further information)"

I leave you with a new demo track and a video message.

1000th Show this Sunday in Paris!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Last month our band surpassed 8 years of activity, and now this Sunday (in Paris, France) we will be celebrating our 1000th live show. We recently archived all of the shows we have ever played and were able to calculate this monumental event. Time has sure flown by and it doesn't seem like it's been that long, or even that many shows!

Tonight we are in Madrid, Spain for a show, marking the half-way point through our European Tour. We've covered a lot of land so far and will continue to do so as we hit Scandinavia next week and finish off at Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Park, plus our first stop ever in Prague. We're seeing a lot of Europe on this tour and are taking the time to do a lot of exploring and photographing.

After this tour we will return home to do some writing for a new album. There will be some summer tour dates announced soon throughout North America too. It looks like it's going to be another really fun summer for us. Peace out, see everyone soon.

    Europe Tour 2008!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We are just about ready to leave for our European tour. This time we will be playing in 14 (!) countries, which is the most we have ever conquered at one time. Joining us on a bunch of the headlining club shows will be our good friends, Today Forever (an amazing band from Germany). Aside from those shows we will be appearing at both the Give It Name Festival and Give It Name European dates, plus Groezrock and Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park. Festivals are always a lot of fun to play, especially overseas. We'll see a bunch of you soon! For those back in North America, don't worry - we won't be ignoring you this summer.. More tour dates coming soon, take care.

    CHILLERS Tour Finished! Thank you.
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We have returned home from our USA headlining tour, Chillers: Bros in the Snow Tour, only to discover there is STILL snow on the ground in the Southern Ontario area! Fortunately, most of the places we visited on tour were not covered in snow and all of the clubs were nice and warm.

This was by far the most successful, and enjoyable tour of our career. I know that is a bold statement to make, but it’s something that each of us can stand behind. Almost all of the shows were sold out which is a huge accomplishment since none of the bands have platinum-selling albums or radio hits to support the tour. Our tour mates, Devil Wears Prada and A Day to Remember were an absolute pleasure to have on tour. They are great bands, and ultimately some of the nicest people we have ever met.

Overall, the tour was extremely smooth except when Protest the Hero dropped off. We love those guys, and wish them the best on all of their upcoming tours. Luckily enough, we were able to fill their shoes with some appearances by our friends, A Static Lullaby, Emarosa, Pierce the Veil – not to mention the special appearance of Set Your Goals and Cancer Bats. These bands are creating some exciting music and we urge you to check them out!

This year has been spent mostly away from home between our tours in Australia, Japan, Canada and the US, so it’s nice to have some time off and relax. We are spending a majority of the next 5 weeks at home, but plan to do a little writing for a new album when we have time. Our next tour begins May 9 in Europe and we will be overseas for about a month.

Finally, we just want to thank all of the fans that supported the recent tour, told their friends about it, drove a long distance, bought a ticket, came to the in-stores, and most importantly, rocked out with us every night. We love playing music and it’s all of you who inspire us to get on stage. Ultimately, it was real music fans supporting the music they love that drove the success of this tour – thank you.

    USA Tour far exceeding expectations!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Right now we are about half-way through our headlining tour of the United States and are overwhelmed by the turns out each night. These shows have far exceeded our expectations and we must thank everyone for coming out, having a great time with us and supporting all of the bands. This has been the best tour we have ever done! There are still a few weeks left and tickets are selling fast.

After this tour we will take some much needed time off to refocus, catch up on our lives at home and begin writing some new material. Aside from our shows in Tucson and Hamilton, we will resume tour in Europe throughout May/June. We will be headlining over all of the mainland and appearing at Groezrock, Give it a Name and Rock Am Ring/Im Park. We will announce our final itinerary soon!

Make sure to check out our new messageboard and interact with us. We log on often to answer questions and to hear what our fans are saying. Thanks for the support ... see you at the upcoming shows!

Thank you Canada - Sold Out Tour!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

There is no better feeling than returning to your home country and playing shows, except touring from coast to coast for sold out crowds. Our first ever Canadian headlining tour sold out every single night, and we must thank everyone who came out to these shows! We could not have done it without the dedicated fans who stood out in the cold weather, supported this tour and made it the best experience for everyone on the tour. It was our pleasure to share the road with some incredible bands (Protest the Hero, ill Scarlett and Devil Wears Prada) who made this tour even more exciting for everyone there. Thanks to all of the fans, the bands, MuchMusic for supporting the tour AND our new video ("Still Dreaming") and Skate4Cancer/Rob for hosting some sweet after-parties/keeping it 'posi' on the road. We love you Canada, and we are proud to be from here. The next few days will allow us to rest back home in Southern Ontario before hitting the road in the USA from Feb 21 - March 30. Take care, eh? Peace!

Pick Our Setlist / Video Pictures / Thanks Oz!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We are excited to announce some new technology in the world of touring and performing our songs... You can help us decide what songs we are going to play on our upcoming Canadian and USA tours over at PickRset.com! Often it can be hard to decide what we should play and what people really want to hear, so this time we are looking for some advice from our fans. The more people that vote, the better so encourage your friends to get on there as well.

As mentioned before, we recently filmed a video for our song "Still Dreaming". It should be up in a few weeks but for now you can check out pictures from the video shoot here: [Stills from video]

We landed in Nagoya, Japan last night, waiting to start our Japanese tour. It was sad to leave Australia because we had so much fun down there. All of the shows were incredible, and we had a blast with our new friends, Set Your Goals. We love those dudes so much that we have added them to our headlining show in Tokyo! Big thanks to Destroy All Lines & Crew for hooking up our Australian tour.

Happy New Year! We are a week into the new year and we're already on the road down under in Australia. It's great to be in the summer heat here while Canada gets blasted with winter. Right after this we will be heading up to Japan for our 2nd over tour ever there, but this time we will be playing a lot more shows. It doesn't stop there either - we are returning back to Canada for our first ever cross-Canada headlining tour from Vancouver to Quebec City. We have a short break following those dates and will resume with a headlining tour all over the US. All dates are announced, tickets are onsale, check it out. Message from Overseas. Sympathy for our friends.
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We haven't able to update much since we have been overseas, but tour has been great and keeping us very busy. This has been our most successful tour overseas so far and we must thank everyone for supporting us far away from our home. However, the other night we walked off stage and were hit with the tragic news regarding the loss of Casey Calvert. The news came as a complete shock and we were in utter disbelief. Being on the other side of the world can feel like you are trapped inside a bubble where nothing seems real. This is how we felt, and didn't know how to deal with the news. We have spent a lot of time on the road with Hawthorne Heights, a lot more than most bands. Casey was an eccentric and vibrant individual who was an absolute genuine pleasure to be around. Our love goes out to the family of Casey and the rest of our friends in Hawthorne Heights. All of you are in our thoughts.

    Notes:
    * Thank you for supporting us overseas. Tour is half over, but there are plenty of shows remaining. Hope to see you soon.

Silverstein Announces "Nicholas Hurlbut Memorial Fund" (BroFest 2007)
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Brofest originated in Fall 2006 to honour Nicholas Hurlbut, a beloved friend and member of Burlington's thriving music community, who lost his battle with cancer on August 21, 2006. The first Brofest concert (affectionally dubbed "Brofest '85") was an opportunity for Nick's friends to turn their grief into something positive, meaningful, and productive. In cooperation with the Burlington YMCA, Brofest brought together a menagerie of local bands to raise funds and cancer awareness, as well as provide an opportunity for friends and family to connect in celebration of Nicholas's life. Bands generously donated not only their time and talent, but all proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise. Ultimately, Brofest raised over $10,000 for various cancer related organizations.

Now a year later, with the support of the Burlington Community Foundation, Brofest will build upon the energy and principles of the original event, while implementing a more sophisticated and extensive fundraising programme. We are pleased to announce that all proceeds from this year's event will be directly donated to the newly established Nicholas Hurlbut Memorial Fund. The 2007 Brofest promises to be even more electrifying and explosive than the first, with more music, more limited edition merchandise, and more opportunities to get informed and involved in the fight against cancer.

    Silverstein Studio Update!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hello everyone! We've been living in L.A. for almost a week now and today we completed pre-production for the new album. Our producer, Mark Trombino, has been helping us to make all of the songs the best that they can be. We have written a total of 15 songs for the new album but are unsure how many will make the final album. Regardless, we're really excited about all of the new material and are confident that all of our fans will be too. Next to us in the rehearsal studio all week was Dio and Black Sabbath rehearsing which gave us a bit of extra encouragement and inspiration! Our sessions have been fueled by a lot of smoothies and great vegan cuisine since California has the best food. All around we’ve been having a fun time out here and are looking forward to begin tracking next week. We’ll be living out here for almost 2 months so some of you may see us poking our heads around some shows and hanging out. It feels good to be in some warm weather and working on a new album finally. Many more updates to come!

    Recording Process Begins!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Today we fly to sunny Los Angeles to abadon the wintery mess of Canada and dedicate ourselves to recording our new album! All of the new songs sound great and we're really excited about how everything has turned out in the writing process. We begin pre-production for the album on Monday and will be working on the album until the end of April. We are very excited to share these new songs with all of you! It feels weird having not toured in so long, but we promise that we'll be touring all over the world as soon as this album is finished. Hang tight and you will have new music from us by the summer. Take care!

    NEW ALBUM THIS SUMMER!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hello everyone, we apologize for keeping quiet all of this time but we have been hard at work! Since completing our headlining tour last December, we have been locked up in the cold Canadian winter writing songs for our new full-length album. It's been such a great experience and we're really happy with the songs so far. We are going to be entering the studio in March to record with producer Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, The Living End, etc.). You can expect to see the album in-stores this summer!

In the meantime we have booked a few shows around our busy schedule. On February 16th we will be playing a very special show in Toronto @ El Mocambo for Skate4Cancer as they are launching their new "Cure is Knowledge" campaign. We support everything they are doing and were eager to be a part of such a great cause. The show is free but only with purchase of a Skate4Cancer T-shirt from their online store. We will also be appearing at the Bamboozle Festival again this year in New Jersey this May. Shortly after, we will be touring Mexico for the first time! You can expect to see us on tour all summer long and all of that information will be announced soon.

Until then, check back often for more updates as we'll be documenting our progress on the new album. If you get the chance, add us to Buzznet - we will be uploading pictures and video from the studio to our page over there too. 2007 is going to be a great year.

Tour is over, Time to rest.. and make a new album!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hey everyone, a final big thanks to all of the bands that shared the road with us this fall, all of the kids that came out to these shows, and to everyone that made our first major headlining tour a huge success! Our 2 months of touring has come to an end and we are now safely back home.

It's time for us to hibernate away through the cold Canadian winter and write our new album. We plan to record in the spring and have it released sometime next summer. Unfortunately we won't be playing any shows during this time but don't worry because we are already planning our return for next year!

THANK YOU, we'll see you in '07.. peace!

    Goodbye USA, Hello Canada!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Tomorrow is our last show in the states on the Never Shave Again tour. It's been an amazing tour for us and we've really enjoyed headlining for a change. We really appreciate all of the kids that bought tickets for the shows, stood in line, sang along, and supported us through everything. A big thanks to all of the bands that joined us on the road: Aiden & It Dies Today (for doing the whole tour with us) and to all of the other bands that were on different parts - He Is Legend, I Killed The Prom Queen, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Kill Hannah, The Stickup and Devil Wears Prada. We love all of you and it was a pleasure to be able to watch you play.

Our tour will bring us to Canada this Sunday for 7 shows and eventually wrapping up on December 3rd in Sarnia. Once we get home we will begin working on our new album which will be recorded next year. It's going to be great to have some time off and focus on new music. We will resume touring once we've put all of that together for you, but it will take some time. Check out the upcoming shows if you live in the area, and otherwise we'll see you again next year!

Tickets are still available for that show as well as all upcoming dates. A reminder to our Canadian fans that we will be back home touring there really soon too. Orlando show moved to Firestone | Houston is happening!
    Posted by Paul

Hey everyone we had to move our show in Orlando from the House of Blues to The Firestone (578 N. Orange Ave. - Phone (407) 872-0066) due to the venue becoming unavailable. All existing tickets still apply and you can still purchase tickets for new venue just as before. We apologize for the mix-up, but the show will still rock!

Some people have heard rumors about the Houston show not happening but this is INCORRECT. We are playing Houston on November 12th @ Meridien. Our tour moves into Texas today for a day-off and then 3 shows throughout. We're looking forward to some Taco Cabana while we're down here!

    See you at the shows!

Tickets are going very fast, but you can still pick up some at Looney Tunes (Burlington), Dr. Disc (Hamilton) or right from the front desk at the YMCA. Any remaining tickets will be opened up at the door as first come first served (we are selling a total of 1000 tickets). You will never be forgotten.
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Since our band has been together we have lost many friends and family to the horrible disease known as cancer. As individuals, we have grown closer through the losses and have always remembered those who were overcome. No one could really imagine what a battle it is and that is why it's important that we continue to search for a cure.

On August 21st we lost a close friend by the name of Nicholas Hurlbut. He was a friend of everyone in the band, a great individual and a huge supporter of our music. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all of our friends.

In honor of Nick and his love for music, we will be performing alongside many great friends on October 6th in our hometown, Burlington, Ontario @ the YMCA Gymnasium. Both Bury Her Breathing and The Turn It Ups will be reuniting for performances in addition to The Stick Up, Skabal, Japaned, & Cain and Abel.

We will be donating 100% of the proceeds from all merchandise and ticket sales, so please support. Tickets will be going on sale soon, more information to come.

Thanks everyone, see you out there.

SILVERSTEIN HIT THE US THIS FALL WITH
AIDEN, IT DIES TODAY, AND HE IS LEGEND FOR
THE SILVERSTEIN FALL HEADLINING TOUR 2006

There is no question that Silverstein take their lives as musicians seriously. So far in 2006, Silverstein has been all over the world and on three critically acclaimed tours and still they work harder. After supporting Simple Plan in Europe, Silverstein came back to the United States and Canada to complete their duties on the Take Action! Tour, Taste of Chaos and Warped Tours (the only band this year to have played all three tours) all before Summer has a chance to wind down. In between those tours, the band made another trip to Europe while also touching down in both Japan and Australia for sold-out, headlining stints in those countries. Their energy is unfailing and their drive to perform and satisfy is unending.

The band is touring in support of not only their recent release, 18 Candles: The Early Years, but a special edition of the hit album Discovering The Waterfront releasing to fans everywhere on September 19. In addition to new artwork and bonus track, the package comes with a DVD featuring a complete live performance taken from the 'Never Sleep Again Tour' in Chicago, IL, footage from their hometown show in Burlington, ON, music videos and more!

As their first, full US headlining tour in over 2 years, Silverstein will be heading out this fall with Aiden (Victory Records), It Dies Today (Trustkill Records), and He is Legend (Solid State Records). Trading off opening duties will be Man Alive (October 13-30), The Blackout Pact (November 1-16), and I Killed the Prom Queen (November 17-December 1). With help from Pure Volume, Peta2, Gibson, Heartcore, and Hot Topic, this tour is sure to be the talk of the Fall.

Canadian Tour w/ Underoath + USA Headlining Tour
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hello everyone! The summer is quickly going by and we've already finished over half of this year's Warped Tour. We've been having so much and must thank all of the fans that have gone out of their way to see our set each day. It's been overwhelming to see how much we've all grown since the last summer. Our confidence has increased and we are ready to return to all of these places this fall and rock out even harder.

The first portion of our fall plans was revealed today. We will be supporting our great friends, Underoath all across Canada throughout September. En route to the first date we will be playing a few US shows with Canadian pals Moneen, who will also be on the tour along with He Is Legend. Part of these dates have already been released (with a few more coming soon), but you can already order your tickets online!

Following our Canadian run, we will be heading back to the US for our first major headlining tour cross-country! Supporting us will be friends, Aiden, It Dies Today and He Is Legend. There will also be 3 rotating openers over the course of the tour which include Man Alive, The Blackout Pact and I Killed The Prom Queen. We will be hitting every major market, so check back often for tour dates as we release them. This will be an exciting tour for us since we'll be able to play a much longer set than usual, and will be carrying some bigger production with us.

Finally, we are pleased to annouce that our latest full-length, Discovering The Waterfront will be re-issued on September 19th complete with some completely new artwork, expanded liner notes, bonus track and a live DVD + more! It's going to be a busy fall and we can't wait. See everyone soon...Peace!

    On Warped Tour Right Now!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hey everyone, we're in Minneapolis today on the 4th day of Warped Tour. This is our 3rd year on the tour, and we're honored to be sharing the bill with so many friends of ours. We've been having a blast out here, even though it's been extremely hot & sweaty outside! Check out our tours page for all dates that we'll be on. We have been rotating between the Hurley and the Main Stages, so check the schedule carefully when you get to these shows.

We must thank everyone who attended our hometown show on June 10th. We played our longest set to date, trying out to some new things and bringing back some rare songs. We'll be doing a whole bunch of Canadian touring througout September so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, check out our 18 Candles release if you haven't already. There will be a bunch of big news throughout the summer, but for now we're just rockin' on the Warped Tour. Take care!

    Posted by Paul Koehler

Hey everyone, we're back home now, fresh off a tour in Australia and Japan. This trip was the most amazing experience of our lives and we must thank everyone involved that made it happen. Both countries are absolutely beautiful, everyone was so welcoming and showed us a really great time. Big thanks to I Killed The Prom Queen and The Getaway Plan for coming along on tour. We hope to revisit both places on the new year for sure.

    Posted by Paul Koehler

For those of you lucky enough to have FUSE (unlike us Canadians), we will be on Steven's Untitled Rock Show tonight. For everyone else in the world, please keep requesting our latest video on your local channel.

Right now we're getting ready to leave for Japan. This is our first time in Japan and we're all beyond excited. It is dream come true to be able to travel so far and play music. If you live in the area check our tour dates for show info. RIght after we'll be heading south for a run of dates in Australia. This will be our second time down under and we look forward to revisting a lot of our favorite places.

In just over 2 weeks we'll be releasing our b-sides collecton, entitled 18 Candles: The Early Years. We are excited to be releasing some of our older material, accompanied with extensive liner notes written by each member in the band. There are also some old photos that are pretty funny to us. Some of you may have noticed the promo photo on the cover, that was taken about 4 years ago.

That's it for now, off to pack my suitcase!

As mentioned above, this will be the official release party for our b-sides album (18 Candles: The Early Years) that will be coming out on May 30th. We are proud to be playing locally around the release of this CD because all of what created our band is right from where we live. There is a lot of history discussed in the liner notes for this album that ties with everything from around there. For those of you that don't know much about this album, it contains 18 tracks ranging from our 2 independent EPs, 2 acoustic tracks, 3 live songs and a remix version of Smile In Your Sleep. We wanted to re-release these old recordings for the fans that have been trying to get them so we decided to package it with some bonus material.

Thats about it for now, we're currently in the UK playing the Give It A Name Festivals. We cannot thank the people of Europe and the UK enough for being so hospitable towards our band and supporting us every time we come back. We'll see you again soon! Take care.

JUNOS / Taste of Chaos / Japan & Australia
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We have a big update and a lot of news on various subjects. First of all, we just came from the JUNO Awards tonight, and we want to thank everyone again who helped support us in Canada and helped us get nominated for Best New Group. We would like to congratulate our friends Bedoin Soundclash for winning the award. This whole weekend has been an unreal experience for us and we're just so happy to be here.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our Spokane show for tonight due to travel problems, but we promise we'll make it up to everyone soon. For now, we will be back in Washington on the Warped Tour. However, for everyone in Edmonton, we'll be arriving on Tuesday for a signing @ the Rock Shop at 4pm. We encourage everyone to stop by, say hello and then hang out with us that night, perhaps even take us to that big mall everyone is always talking about!

On Wednesday we will be starting on the Taste of Chaos tour. PLEASE remember we are playing FIRST on the main stage, so we'll be hitting stage usually around 5:30 - come early if you want to catch our set. We'll be signing after our set each day too, so stop by the merch table and say hello.

This past week we finally confirmed our Japan/Australia tour for May/June! We are so ecxcited to return our favorite place in the world - Australia! This time we get to stop off in Japan on the way down for a few shows too. We're looking forward to playing in a new country and even in some new cities down in Australia. Tickets are going on sale very soon for all of these shows.

That is about it for now. Check out the tour dates, come hang out, respect.

Take Action Tour On Sale Now
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We are proud to be taking part in this year's Take Action tour for a month all over the US. This tour means a lot to us and we're glad to be a part of something very meaningful and charitable. A portion of each ticket will be donated to the Hopeline which is a suicide prevention organization. We feel strongly about supporting this cause and we encourage our fans to do the same. Our music has always been geared towards hope and "moving on". The latest album Discovering The Waterfront describes that even in the toughest situations, it is possible to move on and end up in some place even better than ever before. It will be great to share our message and our music with so many people on this tour. Tickets for the Take Action tour are on sale now, please check it out.

For those who are wondering, we have to leave the Take Action tour after March 29th to join up with the Taste of Chaos tour. A lot of people have been confused and thought we were playing the entire Taste of Chaos tour which is not true. We're excited to be able to play on a bit of each tour and will still be able to cover almost all of North American between the 2 tours along with our mini-Headlining tour beforehand. Tickets for Taste of Chaos and our Headlining tour are all on sale now.

See everyone at the shows... off to Europe in a few days!

Our love goes out to our friend, Bayside.
    Posted by Paul Koehler

I cannot explain in words or emotions how hard the past 12 hours has been for our band. Our hearts are filled complete sadness, and our tears run strong. We were travelling over night between Denver and Salt Lake City when we passed the horrific accident scene of our beloved friends, Bayside.

Our hearts go out to the friends and family of drummer John "Beatz" Holohan who passed away today from this terrible accident. John was a great friend of ours who will be missed deeply. His positive attitude and talented skills made it an absolute pleasure to know him. R.I.P. John.

Together we wish for the speedy and healthy recovery of bass player, Nick Ghanbarian and crew member Dan. We are so grateful to see the rest of the group today and had the chance to comfort them. This was certainly the hardest moment of our lives.

We first met Bayside on May 5, 2003 in Columbus, OH when we played together for the very first time. Shortly after they joined the roster of our record label, Victory Records and later that year we toured together for the first time. RECORDING UPDATE / MINI-WORLD TOUR!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

Tonight we finished the bass tracks for the new album. Drums were finished last week (at Capitol Records studio) and everything is sounding great so far. We start on guitars tomorrow and will continue working until the first week of April. It's been a pleasure working with our producer Cameron Webb so far, he's been able to capture our sound and energy.

A big thanks to everyone who attended our Chain Reaction show this past weekend. It was a great feeling to play live again and get out of this studio routine for a night. We hope everyone enjoyed the new songs that we played. Unfortunately we won't be playing the west coast again until Warped Tour but we thought that show will bridge the gap a bit.

We'll be announcing dates in the next few days for a mini-world domination tour running through May/June in UK/Australia/Canada, ending right before we jump on Warped Tour in the U.S. - we're trying to hit more countries this year, sorry for the delays!

    FUTURE PLANS & NEW ALBUM
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We're back on home turf after a very successful UK tour! Almost all of the shows sold out, and we were received very well by everyone over there. We must sincerely thank everyone who attended these shows and gave us a chance - sorry about taking so long to get over there. Our return to the UK is already being planned, and shouldn't be long. A very special thanks to Underoath, The Hurt Process who made living in tight quarters the most fun we've ever had on tour.

Our focus is now on our new record. We have finally locked in Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Finger 11, Zebrahead, Vendetta Red) as our producer. He's going to do a great job and we're all very excited to work with him. We begin in the studio on March 1st and will be finishing up just in time to jump on tour with Fall Out Boy in April. Expect the album in the summer time.

All of the dates with Fall Out Boy have been announced and should be on sale. After this tour we'll be headlining Canada for a quick Eastern Canada run into the Maritimes and back. There will be some more international touring announced soon for after this. We've also confirmed a month on the first half of this year's Warped Tour. You can check us out on the Maurice Stage - dates are posted on our shows page.

See everyone later on this year, take care!

We're still rocking the UK (and having a great time), and we just received the final batch of U.S./Canadian dates with Fall Out Boy for this coming April. This will be our big return tour after we complete our new album. Everyone can expect to hear a bunch of new songs on this tour as we prepare for the release of our 2nd full length.

There are still a few shows left over here and they're selling fast, if they're not sold out already. We've been very lucky to have almost every show so far sold out. Everyone here is too amazing, we can't thank our UK fans enough. We promise to hit more international countries later this year too.

We must thank The Hurt Process for setting up this tour and helping us along the way. There are still a bunch of shows left, stop by and say hello.

WEEKEND - UK NEXT WEEK - FALLOUTBOY
    Posted by Paul Koehler

In typical Silverstein-fashion, we are unable to turn down a show. That is how we ended up with so many shows this weekend, but we know we can pull it off. We'll be playing a bunch of new songs that we've been putting together while at home. We look forward to playing New Jersey again, especially for such a great cause. If you miss us this time around, we'll be back for the Bamboozle Fest in April.

We're leaving for the U.K. on Tuesday, tour starts on Wednesday in Cardiff and goes through until February 2nd. We'll be spending the time with our good friends Underoath, Hurt Process & Roses Are Red. Unfortunately we are unable to hit the mainland with them, so we won't be playing those Germany & Netherlands shows. We have to head back early and start working on our new album.

The first batch of confirmed dates with Fall Out Boy have been announced. We'll be supporting them on the 2nd half of their tour. We finish in the studio days before this tour, but we'll be anxious and ready to play our new songs for everyone. We have a bunch of other touring lined up for after this in several countries other than the U.S. - this year we're going international more often. More details to come!

See everyone at the upcoming shows, please help spread the word!

    MESSAGEBOARD IS BACK
    Posted by Paul Koehler

After we switched servers we lost the old messageboard, but we finally got a new one up yesterday. There are some new sections and a new design. Everyone will have to sign up again, but we encourage everyone to start posting. The band signs on all the time, so it's a good way to get answers to your questions.

Also, we had the idea of creating a band AIM account. You can add us to Aol Instant Messenger with this screen name: SilversteinBand. Each of us will be signing on all the time.

We have 2 shows coming up next weekend. First off we'll be returning to St. Catherines for the first time since July - sorry about that! There's also a contest running for our show at: http://www.thefirewallgroup.com/. The following day we'll be playing Aggression Fest in London with a bunch of friends. Be sure to check that show out. More info: http://www.summercampproductions.com/. Happy new year everyone!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We're back online! After a few days of downtime, our website is now up and running again on a new server. It appears that a group hacked our old server and put all of the sites out of commission (including our friends Taking Back Sunday and Bayside). But fortunately we were quick to make the switch and are back online. The online community will be down for a little bit until we can get that re-established. However, the merch store is back up with full stock, so please go and check that out. Those designs will probably be gone once we run out of stock.

For those of you that attended our hometown show this past Friday, we must thank you! We didn't even expect half of that - we had almost 1000 people in attendance. It was truly our largest hometown performance and most successful. The YMCA was able to raise over $5500 for it's program. Everyone who supported this show deserves a pat on the back, you rule. We'll be back in Burlington in June for an even bigger CD release show.

We'll be continuing to write more songs for our new record over the rest of our break. We'll be debuting a bunch of those new songs at our shows throughout January. We'll be between Canada, U.S. and the U.K. during January - it's going to be a busy month.

In the meantime, happy holidays and thank you for making 2004 the best year for Silverstein so far. We had a great time and never expected to reach the level where we're at. Expect us on tour worldwide next year with a brand new album that is guaranteed to knock your socks off. Cheers everyone!

    HOME FOR A WHILE
    Posted by Paul Koehler

We're back from tour now, and will be taking 2 months off to work on new material before going to the U.K. in January. We'll be playing one show while at home, right here in Burlington (more info). In the meantime we'll continue writing material for our new album which will be recorded next year. Since we won't be on the road for a while, we've stocked up our official Merch Store with new track jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, belts, stickers, and buttons. We'll have all new designs next year, so this will be the last chance to get any of that merch. Thanks again to everyone for making this a great year on the road!
